Travanca do Mondego was a parish ( freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) of Penacova . On June 30, 2011 the community had 423 inhabitants on an area of 11.5 km².
The municipality consisted of the following localities:

- Quinta da Conchada

- Travanca do Mondego

In the course of the municipal reorganization of Portugal on September 29, 2013, the municipality of Travanca do Mondego was merged with Oliveira do Mondego to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Oliveira do Mondego e Travanca do Mondego . The seat of the new municipality was Oliveira do Mondego.
