The KK Treasure ( Japanese 株式会社 ト レ ジ ャ ー , Kabushiki-gaisha Toreshā , English Treasure Co., Ltd. ) is a Japanese video game developer , which was founded on June 19, 1992 by former Konami employees.
history
Before founding
The core of the founding members came from various development teams from Konami Tokyo; that included the team that developed the NES and arcade game Bucky O'Hare . The following people were arcade developers: Hiroshi Iuchi (director), Norio Hanzawa (music) and Tetsuhiko Kikuchi (character design). The following were involved in the NES version: Masato Maegawa (company president and founder), Kaname Shindō (graphic design), Hideyuki Suganami (programming) and Kōichi Kimura (graphic design).
After the establishment
Treasure is known for developing action games with fancy gameplay. Most of the time, the basic genre elements are adopted and the game or control mechanisms are supplemented with innovations, and new or modified elements are incorporated into the level design . They are known for the boss levels, which are mostly the focus of the game. On older platforms, the bosses consisted of several large moving sprites .
