history
The family seat was in Trebsen / Mulde near Grimma . 1161 is the first documentary mention of the Knights of Trebsen, specifically in 1190 with Bernhard von Trebissen . The Lords of Trebsen owned the castle until 1330. After that , he was wealthy in Thuringia , Stolberg and Mansfeld (including Heinrich in 1495 in rooms in the county of Gleichen , Hans in 1560 in Großneuhausen near Kölleda ) and belonged to the Stolberg vassal families . Around 1650, the male line died out.
The Trebs are often confused with the Trebra family .
