The Tregistbach is a 7.3 kilometer long left tributary of the Kainach in Styria .
course
The Tregistbach rises in the northeastern part of the town of Bärnbach in the cadastral municipality of Hochtregist, east of the scattered houses Weingartsberg and west of the Groß Hagen farm on the southern slope of the Hochkogel . It flows in a flat curve to the right to the south. In the municipality of Voitsberg it flows into the cadastral municipality of Voitsberg Vorstadt a few hundred meters south of the L 341 in the Kainach , which then bends to the right. On its course, the Tregistbach takes on three larger named and several small unnamed streams.
In 1957, the Tregistbach was diverted to a new bed over a distance of 650 meters so that the lignite stored underneath could be extracted by the Zangtal mining industry.
