Trettach trio

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Trettach Trio from Oberstdorf was one of the best-known representatives of Allgäu trio music. The Trettach Trio was founded in 1950 by Ludwig Speiser (called "Wiggi", * December 17, 1934 in Oberstdorf, † August 21, 2015 ibid) together with Adolf Fischer († 2010) and Karl Berktold. Ludwig Speiser and Karl Berktold have been part of the trio since it was founded. Together with the Toni Brutscher Trio , the Trettach Trio was one of the pioneers in Allgäu trio music and has since been a model for many trios in the Oberallgäu district . In the last current line-up, the Trettach Trio consisted of Ludwig Speiser ( accordion ), Ignaz Hehl ( guitar ) and Karl Berktold ( bass violin ).

The Trettach trio became known to a larger audience through numerous appearances on radio and television. The trio finally became known to a nationwide audience through an appearance on July 5, 1975 at Maria Hellwig's show in the program The Music Comes .

Even in the recent past, the Trettach Trio played on festive occasions, such as the inauguration of the Oberstdorf House .
