A funnel slide is a form of water slide that has a large funnel as the centerpiece.

A funnel slide consists of a normal tube slide above the funnel, where the user gains speed. This chute then opens laterally into the funnel, which is cup-shaped to hemispherical. Due to the speed gained, the slide end then moves in a circle in the funnel until, with decreasing speed, he reaches the center of the funnel. There is a hole or an entrance to another slide. In versions with a hole, the user falls into a water basin below. Funnel slides can be designed as body or tire slides.

This type of slide is rarely found in Germany. There are still facilities in monte mare Obertshausen, Galaxy Erding , Titania-Therme in Neusäß , Miramar Weinheim (with an attached boomerang slide), Kristall Palm Beach in Stein near Nuremberg, Aqualand in Cologne and the Cham leisure pool . In Austria there are two funnel slides , these are located in the Loipersdorf thermal baths and can be slipped with tires, and in the Amadé adventure thermal baths in Altenmarkt im Pongau , where the funnel slide has been in operation since December 2014 and the thermal baths in Altenmarkt have one more attraction Has.
