monte mare Reichshof-Eckenhagen
The monte mare in Reichshof-Eckenhagen is owned by the municipality and is operated by monte mare as part of an operator model. The pool, which was built in 1976, had an investment backlog in 1992 and an annual deficit of 1.1 million euros. The municipality hived off the swimming pool as a private company and invested 5.25 million euros. After the reopening in 1994, it was possible to achieve cost recovery.
In May 2011 the bath was closed for extensive renovation and renovation work. Among other things, the leisure pool was dismantled to a sports / indoor pool with a 25-meter pool, diving tower and teaching pool and the sauna area was renovated and partially rebuilt. The investment costs were around 5 million euros. The reopening had to be postponed several times; Since January 30, 2013, the pool and sauna area have been reopened.
monte mare Rheinbach
At the end of 1975 the city of Rheinbach (near Bonn ) put an indoor pool into operation, which was supplemented in 1983 by a second construction phase with a wave pool and an outdoor pool. The total investment amounted to DM 16.5 million. The bathing facility was used by around 6 million visitors from 1976 to 1999. In 1997, an appraisal showed that around 8 million DM would have to be invested in order to renovate the existing building and thus continue to operate the swimming pool. The annual subsidy requirement amounted to around DM 1.2 million. In 1999, the Rheinbach City Council decided to extensively renovate the pool and then let it be operated by monte mare. The reopening under the name monte mare took place in March 2002.
In addition to the "sports / leisure pool" (25-meter sports pool, wave pool, two tube slides, whirlpool) and "sauna / wellness" area in Rheinbach, the monte mare has an indoor plunge pool with an attached diving pool. Base and school . The basin is 10 meters deep, contains 2 million liters of water and has a temperature of 28 ° C. The diving education includes the courses of the international diving organization SSI . Underwater weddings are also held in the plunge pool .

The monte mare Kaiserslautern was opened on March 13, 2004 on the high plateau of the PRE-Park and replaces the old inner-city indoor swimming pool. It is divided into the areas of sports pool (25-meter competition pool, diving tower, teaching pool), leisure pool ( wave pool , two tube slides, flow channel, children's paddling pool) and a sauna area in Tuscan style and a wellness area with hammam , classic massage and Ayurveda as well as bath treatments.
maritimo Oer-Erkenschwick
In cooperation with the DSBG, Herne, in Oer-Erkenschwick near Recklinghausen, monte mare operates a complex of sauna facilities with wellness offers, sports pool, outdoor pool and fun pool with whirlpools, turbo showers, flow channels, waterfalls, whirlpool loungers, floor jets and under the name "maritimo" an outdoor pool that can be used all year round. The inside area offers 2 tube slides, the outside area houses an open water slide around 100 meters long. In late 2014, a decision is to be taken as to whether the water park area will be closed due to numerous construction defects and whether the sauna area will be expanded. The decision had not yet been made by March 2016!
monte mare Obertshausen (formerly Atlantis)
Today's monte mare in Obertshausen opened - after an expansion of the indoor and outdoor pool "Waldbad" in 1966 - in October 2002, initially under the name "Atlantis". After the bankruptcy of the Atlantis operating company with further locations in Ulm / Neu-Ulm and Dorsten and the resulting repossession of the property to the city of Obertshausen, operations were transferred to the monte mare group at the end of 2006. With over 500,000 visitors per year, the location is one of the most visited in the group.

In August 2008 monte mare Tegernsee (also Seesauna Tegernsee ) was opened. The visitor attraction is “Irmingard, the sauna ship”. For this purpose, a former training ship from the Chiemsee was acquired and converted into a swimming sauna. The TKV is responsible for the operation of the electrical works, the lake sauna and the outdoor pool. In 2013 there were 81,422 visitors, in 2014 the number of visitors rose by 14 percent to 93,000 visitors. In 2016, the number of 100,000 visitors was exceeded, an increase of 7% over the previous year; Nevertheless, TKV had to compensate for an operating loss of EUR 510,000 (previous year TE 499).

The former spa center on the lakeshore was converted into the “vitalwelt Schliersee” by the end of 2008. There is monte mare with a family pool (“Vitaltherme”), sauna world and Charivari restaurant.
monte mare Kreuzau (formerly Rurwelle)
At the beginning of February 2009 the group of companies was awarded the contract to operate the Bad Rurwelle in Kreuzau on behalf of the Düren district . At the end of August 2018 it was announced that the Düren district is investing around 3.8 million euros in making the facility more attractive.

The monte mare in Bedburg ( Rhein-Erft district ) was opened on May 3, 2010. A modern indoor swimming pool and a spacious sauna and wellness area in Balinese style are located under one roof. The city of Bedburg bears a contractually stipulated share of the costs of € 600,000 per year.
monte mare Andernach (formerly Revita)
In Andernach, the former Revita fitness studio was converted into a monte mare by April 2012. In addition to the sauna and wellness area, a health-oriented fitness studio was created. The sports area was opened on April 10, 2012, the sauna and spa area on April 28, 2012. An outdoor sauna was modeled on the Andernach geyser . Less than 2 years after the opening, the 100,000 sauna guest was welcomed. According to the company, the location was expanded in 2015 for around 1 million euros. The first monte mare hotel was opened at this location at the end of April 2018, with around € 4.8 million invested in this.

The monte mare Neustadt in Saxony was opened in 1995 and operated by the monte mare group until the end of 2011. On January 1, 2012, monte mare Neustadt Freizeitbad GmbH was renamed Mariba Freizeitwelt Neustadt GmbH.
monte mare in Golling on the Salzach
In Golling an der Salzach (Austria) a newly built indoor swimming pool with a sauna area went into operation on February 1, 2007. Since November 1st, 2008 the pool has been operated by the municipality itself under the name Aqua Salza .
monte mare Rengsdorf
The monte mare Rengsdorf was the longest operating location. In 1984 monte mare took over the "garden wave pool", which had been owned by the municipality of Rengsdorf, as part of a privatization. The municipality, which was no longer able to meet the subsidy requirement of 1.8 million DM per year (in today's purchasing power approx. 1.5 million €), sold the bathroom for the symbolic price of 1 DM with the condition to invest another 5 million DM and to operate the wave pool for at least 20 years.
The wave pool was expanded to include large slides and an outdoor pool. A Mediterranean ambience with palm trees should appeal to the visitors. The profitable sauna area in particular was expanded and recently offered 13 different saunas. The operator stated the number of visitors as around 280,000 per year. The water park has been closed since October 19, 2008. The sauna area that is still in operation has also been closed since October 15, 2017. The operation at this location was completely stopped.
Also part of the complex is an office building which is the seat of the planning office and the central administration of the group of companies.
Meersburg thermal baths
From July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2018, monte mare Bäderbetriebsgesellschaft mbH (Rengsdorf) was commissioned with the management of the Meersburg Therme. The previous operator (G1 Bädergruppe) filed for bankruptcy in early July 2012.
Awards
In 2009 monte mare was awarded as a finalist and in 2010 with the Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Enterprises and the plaque of honor from the Oskar Patzelt Foundation .
