Tricolor Baia Mare was a Romanian football club from Baia Mare . Although he never played in the highest Romanian football league, Divizia A , he was in the round of 16 for the Romanian Cup in 1935 .

history

Tricolor Baia Mare was founded in 1927. Until the founding of Divizia B in 1934, he played in the regional championship and did not manage to qualify for the national finals. In the 1934/35 season , the club finished second in Season III, but missed participation in the promotion round by eleven points over local rivals Phoenix . In the same season, Tricolor reached the second round of the Romanian Cup after defeating RGM Timișoara , but lost to ASCAM Bucharest after extra time. The end of the 1935/36 season ended the club in sixth place in season III. In the 1936/37 season he took part in the newly founded Divizia C , won the North Group in the final against Ceramica Bistrița and rose to Divizia B. There Tricolor occupied after relegation in 1938 in the season 1938/39 only the last place and had to relegate.

After the end of the Second World War , the club started as Mnauer Baia Mare in the 1946/47 season in Divizia C. Second in season VI was promoted to Divizia B. After a tenth place in the 1947/48 season , Minaur merged with the local rival Phoenix Baia Mare to CSM Baia Mare and thus dissolved.
