Trifolium sect. Involucrarium is a section in the genus clover ( Trifolium ). With 26 species in America, it is the third largest section of the genus. The species are divided into two subsections Involucrarium and Physosemium . The main characteristics of the section are the shape of the calyx teeth, the teeth on the stipules and the pronounced bracts.

Species of the Involucrarium section are annual or perennial herbaceous plants . The inflorescences are stalked and umbrella-like. The individual flowers are in vortices. In some species, the inflorescences are few-flowered.
The stipules are deeply serrated, serrate, incised or lobed and only in exceptional cases have entire margins. Bracts are present and deeply incised into 2 to 15 lobes. The lobes are serrated, incised or with entire margins. The flowers of the inner vertebrae have small bracts .
Flower stalks are absent or very short. The cup is 5 to 20 annoying. In some species, it thickens during fruit ripening. The calyx teeth are unequal, sometimes incised, forked or branched. In some species, the plume thickens as the fruit ripens and includes the legume . The sleeve is stalked or seated and one to careful.
