The Trinity Bay is a bay in the state of Texas in the United States . It is located on the northeast side of Galveston Bay in the greater Houston area in Chambers and Harris Counties . The bay is approximately 20 miles (32 km) long and forms the mouth of the Trinity River . The towns of Anahuac , Beach City and Baytown are on the coast .
On February 23, 2019, Atlas Air Flight 3591 crashed into the bay.
