Tristán Ulloa (born May 6, 1970 in Orléans ) is a Spanish actor , director and author .

Life

Tristán Ulloa is a child of Spanish exiles in France; he spent his youth in Vigo , Galicia. During his business studies, he took part in various theater groups at the university and took courses at the Royal Drama School in Madrid. His brother is the director David Ulloa. Tristán Ulloa is in a relationship with the Argentine actress Carolina Román. The couple is expecting a child (2011). Ulloa is an active member of Amnesty International and is strongly committed to issues relating to abuse, child soldiers, more rights for minorities and freedom around the world.

He has played mainly in Spanish productions, his oeuvre includes more than 50 productions. In 2007 he was co-director with Pudor .

Prizes and awards

Ulloa was nominated three times for the Goya Film Award in 2007, including Best Actor in a Leading Role in Mataharis , Best New Director for Pudor and Best Adapted Screenplay for Pudor .
