Tristan Chytroschek

Tristan Chytroschek (* 1968 in Pforzheim or Calw ) is a German director and film producer .

Life

Growing up in Calw, Chytroschek graduated from high school in 1988 at the Hermann Hesse-Gymnasium. He successfully completed his mechanical engineering studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen . During his studies, he completed semesters abroad and internships in Great Britain, Mexico and Argentina and traveled through the Andes for months after graduating from university . Encouraged by his trips abroad, Chytroschek began studying media studies (or journalism) at the University of Westminster in 1995 . After completing his master's degree, he worked for the BBC and Channel 4 in the UK and the TLC in Los Angeles. In 2004 Chytroschek returned to Germany and worked for WDR . In the same year he joined the Cologne-based a & o buero filmproduktion gmbh as a co-owner and later founded the office in Hamburg, which he runs himself.

His documentary Music as a Weapon won the International Emmy Award on November 19, 2012 in the Artistic Broadcast category.

In addition to German, he is fluent in English and Spanish.
