Trossingen Bahnhof (formerly also called Trossingen Staatsbahnhof ) is a train station near Trossingen , in the municipality of Deißlingen . This is where the Trossingen Railway (Trossingen Bahnhof – Trossingen Stadt railway line ) branches off from the Rottweil – Villingen railway line in order to connect the city to the railway network. The station is located at an altitude of 644 meters between Dauchingen , Deißlingen, Trossingen and Villingen-Schwenningen , not far from the intersection between Autobahn 81 and Bundesstraße 27 .
Reception building
The two-story former reception building contained a counter hall and an apartment. It was built from tuff and has remained largely unchanged to this day. It corresponds to the Group 1 building type at the time. The building is a listed building , but is no longer used as a reception building. Today's platforms are about a hundred meters to the east.
Platforms
In addition to a central platform with tracks 1 and 12, the station has an additional platform edge 2, which enables overtaking / crossing; there is a switch at the end of track 2 for this purpose .

Trossingen station is served by regional express trains operated by Deutsche Bahn AG . The Hohenzollerische Landesbahn AG (HzL) ring train also runs here . Some of these trains are divided into Trossingen Bahnhof : While one part continues on the Rottweil – Villingen route, the other part goes to Trossingen Stadt station . The HzL railcars take over the journeys of the historical vehicles that once ensured the connection of the city of Trossingen to the Rottweil – Villingen railway line.
