The Troy Bruins were an American ice hockey team based in Troy , Ohio . The team played in the 2010/11 season through January 5, 2011 in the All American Hockey League .
history
The Troy Bruins were founded in 2009 as a franchise of the Northern Junior Hockey League. After a season, the owners decided to switch to the professional sector and joined the All American Hockey League . On August 31, 2010, the league officially confirmed the admission of the team. The team was named after a team of the same name that played in the International Hockey League from 1951 to 1959 .
On January 5, 2011, the team announced its dissolution, canceled all further games and sacked all players. The last game of the Bruins took place on December 31, 2010 against the Queen City Storm .
