Franz Konrad Joseph Truchsess from Rheinfelden
Franz Konrad Joseph Truchsess von Rheinfelden (born June 2, 1737 in Appenweier ; † May 25, 1826 ) was Grand Bailli of the Order of St. John , Subprior of the Wuerttemberg Order Coming and Commander of the Prebende in Schwäbisch Hall and Affaltrach .
He had Affaltrach Castle renovated at great cost in 1788. As a royal sub-prior and patrimonial he remained in office until his retirement in 1809. In 1812 he acquired the castle and the associated land from the Württemberg camera administration as compensation, but the following year he gave it away to the family of his housekeeper, who later also received claims for compensation from his lost property in France.
His tomb is in the Affaltrach cemetery.
His relative Heinrich Freiherr von Truchseß-Rheinfelden (died 1812) was the last prior of the Johanniter-Kommende in Würzburg.
