Envelope ditch

The Hüllgraben is an artificially created watercourse in the northeast of Munich . As a continuation of the underground Hachinger Bach, it leads from the Zamdorfer Gleisdreieck into the interception ditch , which finally flows into the Middle Isar Canal . It flows through the Munich districts of Daglfing and Johanneskirchen in the district 13 Bogenhausen .

The Truderinger Hüllgraben , which begins in Kirchtrudering opposite the church , flows into the Hüllgraben in Daglfing. In the area of the Moosfeld underground station , it runs in a pipeline laid on the ceiling of the station.

The Hüllgraben is crossed by the former railway line of the Feldkirchner Tangente on an arched bridge.

In the north of Trudering there have always been regular floods from the water of the Hachinger Bach, which seeps away near Berg am Laim . To the east of Daglfing was the Johanneskirchener Moos moorland belonging to the Erdinger Moos . At the beginning of the 19th century, the area was partially drained by deepening streams and creating new ditches; Already on a map from 1812 a mill ditch is shown , which ran similarly to today's enveloping ditch and interception ditch. A strong lowering of the groundwater level resulted from the construction of the interception ditch, which is up to eight meters below ground level, between 1920 and 1929.

In 1933, due to the frequent flooding, a 600 mm thick pipeline was built to guide the water from the Hachinger Bach into the enveloping ditch. During the Second World War, the manhole was expanded.

At the Riemer Feld in Daglfing, a natural branch of the enveloping trench was created in 2000.
