Tsai Ching-jung (born January 17, 2000 ) is a Taiwanese high jumper .

Athletic career

Tsai Ching-jung gained her first international experience at the Junior Asian Championships 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City , where she won the bronze medal with a 1.71 m. In 2017 she was fourth at the Asian Youth Championships in Bangkok with a jump of 1.69 m. In 2018 she again took part in the Junior Asian Championships in Gifu , where she won the silver medal behind the Iraqi Maryam Abdulelah with 1.78 m . So she qualified for the U20 World Championships in Tampere , where she was eliminated with 1.80 m in the qualification. At the end of August she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and finished ninth there with 1.75 m. The following year, she jumped 1.75 m at the Asian Championships in Doha , finishing eighth. Then she reached the final at the Summer Universiade in Naples , where she finished twelfth with 1.75 m.

In 2018, Tsai became the Taiwanese high jump champion. She is studying at the National Taiwan Sport University .
