Tscherepkiwzi ( Ukrainian Черепківці ; Черепковцы Tscherepkowzy , Romanian Cerepcăuţi , German (until 1918) Czerepkoutz ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Oblast Chernivtsi with about 2000 inhabitants (2001).
The village is located in northern Bukovina on the upper reaches of the Sereth River and on the Т – 26–07 territorial road near the Ukrainian- Romanian border.
Tscherepkivtsi is the administrative center of the district council of the same name within the Hlyboka district , which also includes the village of Novyj Vovchynez ( Новий Вовчинець ⊙ ) with about 300 inhabitants.
Tscherepkivtsi has a border station on the Chernivtsi - Suceava railway line .
The oblast capital Chernivtsi is 37 km north and the Rajon center Hlyboka 10 km northwest of Cherepkivtsi.
