Tschyschiwka ( Ukrainian Чижівка ; Russian Чижовка Tschischowka , Polish Czyżówka ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Oblast Zhytomyr with about 1500 inhabitants (2001).
The village is located at an altitude of 190 m on the bank of the Slutsch , 10 km north of the Novohrad-Volynskyj district center and 92 km northwest of the Zhytomyr oblast center . In the village the true territorial road T-06-16 on the regional road P-49 .
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1863, is the administrative center of the eponymous ( Чижівська громада ), 297.4 km² rural community in Novohrad-Wolynskyj district with a total of over 5200 inhabitants, to which 15 other villages belong.
To the south-east of Chyshivka is an archaeological monument of national importance with a site from the time of the Kievan Rus (9th - 13th centuries).
