Together with his wife, the singer Patti Cathcart , Tuck Andress forms the duo Tuck & Patti . The duo has been playing their own songs as well as jazz standards since 1979 .
After Andress only preferred playing the plectrum for 13 years , he has switched to fingerpicking , which is mostly presented on a discreetly amplified semi-acoustic guitar , which he has mastered with virtuosity. Tuck mentions Andress George Benson , Jimi Hendrix and Larry Carlton as his main influences . With Pat Martino he plays the title song on his album Two Of A Kind with this one, in which he shows his funky-funky fingerpicking style with sudden stops and marching bass.
