The Tuco ( Wetuku, We Tuku ) is a river in the municipality of Viqueque ( East Timor ) that carries water all year round.

course

The Tuco rises in the border area between the Sucos Liaruca and Ossu de Cima and initially flows to the west. The Lequeloe and the Haunanauil have their source further north . The Haunanauil rises in Liaruca and initially flows to the west, the Lequeloe in the border area between Liaruca and Bibileo and flows south until it flows into the Haunanauil. Further south, the Haunanauil then flows into the Tuco, which now flows south along the border between Ossu de Cima and Bibileo. Where on the west bank Bibileo is replaced by the Suco Bahalarauain , the Metacoa flows into the Tuco. This border river between the two sucos was previously called Maracoa and rises between Dilor and Laline . Along the border between Laline and Bibileo, the Caidercana flows towards the Maracoa.

After the Metacoa flows into the Tuco, it flows further south between Bahalarauain and Ossu de Cima, from where the Mitacaiuai and the Teko meet at the border with Uai-Mori . Later the Tuco swings to the southwest and crosses Bahalarauain. Here the southern coastal road of East Timor crosses it. On the east side of the bridge is the largest Sucos settlement with the districts Aidac, Aisahe, Buikarin, Caninuc, Kailoi, Welaco and Wetalitua. Shortly afterwards, the Tuco flows through the southern part of Bibileo and to the east passes the settlement center there with the towns of Amarleza, Aisahe, Webae, Laco Uai, Mane Claran, Balide Oan, Hare Oan and Fato Hosan, before the river finally west of Cape Ponta de Luca in the Timor Sea flows into it.
