Before the 2015 regional reform, Laline had an area of 212.71 km². Now there are 187.77 km². The Suco is to the north of the Lacluta administrative office. To the south are the Sucos Dilor and Ahic , to the east is the administrative office of Viqueque with its Suco Bibileo . To the west, Laline borders the Barique Administrative Office with its Suco Barique and the Manatuto Administrative Office with its Suco Cribas (all in the Manatuto municipality ). To the north are the Laleia administrative office with its Suco Cairui (also Manatuto municipality) and the Vemasse administrative office with its Suco Vemasse ( Baucau municipality ).

The Derac river has its source in the border area with Barique . During its course through the south of the Sucos, it changes its name to Has . From the inflow of the Datametan , which also rises in the Suco , the river is called Lacluta and now forms the border with Ahic. The Derocaan rises in the border area to Dilor . After it has merged with the Laclubar, the rivers together form the Luca . The second border river to Dilor, the Cauhoo , reaches the Luca at the southeast tip of Laline. The river Lago Leci also flows from Barique to the southwest of Laline . After a tributary from the Suco the name changes to Lago Leec and its union with the border river to Barique, the Lago Melac , it forms the river Dilor , which then follows the border to Manatuto down. Lake Welosi ( Lagoa Welosi , Wetasi ) is located in the southwest of Lalines, northeast of the Laclubar river and is fed by small tributaries. To the east of the lake is Mount Cassacaic ( 1024  m ). In the north of Laline the rivers Lago Letatice , Buauomeca (both together form the Tutoli ) and Abai arise . All flow into the Mori , the border river to Vemasse, which also follows part of the border to Cairui. Finally the Mori meets the Caleuc , the western border river to Cairui. It arises from the Laburaque coming from Cairui and the southern border river Ladada , which also rises in Cairui. Mori and Caleuc together form the Laleia , which flows further north through Cairui.

Despite its size, only small, poorly developed roads lead through the Suco. For the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2007 , the ballot boxes had to be brought to the polling station in the Sucos administration and picked up by helicopter. Larger settlements are now only in the southeastern tip of the Sucos. They belong to the Dilor settlement center , whose part on the west bank of the Cauhoo belongs to Laline. These are Aidac Laran ( Aidaklaran ), Aimeta Hun ( Aimetahun , Aimeta-Hun ), Fatu Cado ( Fatucado ), Micradec ( Microde ) and Santo Antonio ( Santontonio ). In the east of Sucos there is a helipad for emergencies.

In the Suco there are the five Aldeias Aimeta Hun , Fatu Cado , Mau Ama , Micradec and Santo Antonio . Although Aidac Laran is in Laline, Aldeia is in Suco Dilor. Exactly the opposite is the case with the place and the Aldeia Mau Ama.

On September 7, 1981, there was a massacre on the slopes of Aitanas. At the St. Antonius Shrine , Indonesian soldiers from Battalion 744 murdered 70 people, including women and children , according to Indonesian sources, 70 according to the “ Legs of Fence ” operation , and according to an eyewitness report by priest Costa Lopes .
