Before the 2015 territorial reform, Bahalarauain had an area of 122.75 km². Now there are 116.21 km². The Suco is in the north of the administrative office of Viqueque. It is located between the north and south of the Sucos Bibileo . To the southwest is the Suco Luca , to the southeast the Sucos Uai-Mori and Uma Quic . In the west Bahalarauain borders on the administrative office Lacluta with its Sucos Dilor and Uma Tolu , in the east on the administrative office Ossu with its Suco Ossu de Cima . The northern border is initially formed by the Maracoa River , which comes from Dilor and is later called Metacoa . Finally it flows into the Tuco , which then flows to the south, initially forming the border to Ossu and partly also to Uai-Mori. Then the Tuco swings to the southwest and separates the south from the rest of the sucos before flowing on to Bibileo.

The only notable place in the northern part is Uma Liurai in the northeast. There is also a primary school here. The majority of the population lives in the south, where the Tuco is crossed with a bridge by the southern coastal road, one of the country's most important traffic routes. On the east bank they form a settlement center that also has a primary school and a medical station. Its districts are Aidac , Aisahe , Buikarin , Caninuc ( Kainunuk ), Kailoi , Welaco ( We Laco , Uelaku ) and Wetalitua ( Uaitalitua ).

In the Suco there are the six Aldeias Aidac , Aisahe , Camelitur , Caninuc , Welaco and Wetalitua .
