Company history

Tuja Zeitarbeit was founded in 1992 by Peter Jackwerth in Ingolstadt . In 1998, AHL Service Inc. , based in Atlanta, took over part of the shares. The rapidly expanding conglomerate included numerous other personnel service providers, some of which had been on the market since 1979. After extensive mergers, the company appeared across Germany under the name Tuja from 2001. Two years later, the centralization of all administrative tasks at the headquarters in Ingolstadt was completed. In 2004, the investment firm Odewald & Cie took over the company, while expanding into Switzerland and Austria. Barclays Private Equity owned the company from 2006 to mid-2007 . In 2007, the owner changed again: the Adecco Group bought Tuja Zeitarbeit together with its sister brands Boetronic Personnel Management and Service Personnel Services for a total of 800 million euros. The activities abroad were then discontinued. The companies are bundled under the Tuja Holding. In 2010 the administrative headquarters in Ingolstadt were dissolved, the tasks were now carried out in Münster or in the group by the sister company DIS .

On May 1, 2018, Tuja Zeitarbeit was merged with Adecco Personaldienstleistungen.
