Tulio Díaz Babier (born June 1, 1960 ) is a former Cuban foil fencer .
successes
Tulio Díaz was vice world champion in 1986 in Sofia . Five years later he won the title with the team in Budapest . At the Pan American Games he won the gold medal with the team in Caracas in 1983 and in Indianapolis in 1987 , and in individual he won silver in 1987. He took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona in the team competition. With the Cuban team, after two victories in the preliminary round and two more successes against South Korea and Poland, he moved into the final, which ended 8: 8 against Germany . Due to the better hit ratio of 65:53, the German team was Olympic champion , while Díaz won the silver medal together with Elvis Gregory , Guillermo Betancourt , Oscar García Pérez and Hermenegildo García .
