Tulipa thianschanica is a plant from the genus of tulips ( Tulipa ) in the family of Liliaceae (Liliaceae).

description

The onions are 1.5 to 2 centimeters in diameter and egg-shaped. The onion skins are blackish brown, thinly leathery and hairy on the inside. The stem is 10 to 15 inches long and hairless. The three leaves are spread out and slightly bent back at the tip, linear or linear-lanceolate, 5 to 10 millimeters wide and usually protrude above the flowers. The leaf margin is puckered. Bracts are missing.

The flowers are single. The tepals are yellow and 1.5 to 2.5 × 0.5 to 1.5 centimeters in size. The inner tepals are sometimes reddish in color. The stamens are 1.2 to 1.7 inches long and the same. The stamens are bare and suddenly widened from the tip to the tip. The styluses are very short.

The flowering period extends from May to June.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 24.

Occurrence

Tulipa thianschanica occurs in the steppes of Kazakhstan and northwestern Xinjiang in China at altitudes of 1000 to 1800 meters.
