Joyful Gospel is a gospel choir from Hamburg .
history
The choir was formed in 1992 when eight singers Volker Dymel formed to accept an invitation to organize a gospel concert in a Buxtehude restaurant. After five years of stage experience in 1997 the debut album was released Joyful Gospel in the label Lord Records for popular Christian music today Gerth media . In the following period the choir performed live and on the radio in over 70 concerts each year. In addition to artists from the Christian music scene such as Albert Frey , the choir also realized joint stage projects with secular and international artists such as Michael Bolton , Mr. President and Drafi Deutscher and produced successful talents such as Florence Joy , Hanjo Gäbler , David Thomas and Sarah Brendel .
Today the choir is part of the Hamburg music scene and regularly invited to benefit events of humanitarian organizations such as Amnesty International as well as to events of commercial companies such as Tchibo , Görtz and Pfizer . The choir also plays annually for the Hamburg cancer research in the Hamburg Michel.
