Tunilla albisaetacens is a species of plant in the genus Tunilla from the cactus family(Cactaceae).
description
Tunilla albisaetacens grows semi-creeping with shoot segments that are round in cross-section and tapered towards the tip and are up to 5 centimeters long. The up to 10 white thorns are flexible, twisted and interwoven.
The red or rarely white flowers are up to 5 centimeters long. Your humped pericarpel is covered with numerous bristle-like thorns that are up to 1.5 centimeters long.
Distribution and systematics
Tunilla albisaetacens is distributed in the Bolivian departments of Chuquisaca , Oruro , Potosí and Tarija at altitudes of 3100 to 3900 meters. It was first described as Opuntia albisaetacens in 1936 by Curt Backeberg . In 2000 David Richard Hunt and James Iliff (* 1923) placed them in the genus Tunilla .
