The Tuostach ( Russian Туостах ) is a 271 km long right tributary of the Adytscha in the river system of the Jana in Siberia ( Russia , Asia ).

The river arises near the Arctic Circle in the almost 2500 m high Tscherski Mountains from the source rivers Chara-Salaa (Хара-Салаа, also Chara-Sala) and Bodymba (Бодымба, also Boldymba). Then it flows to its confluence with the Adytscha in a north-westerly direction through a wide valley in which it forms many arms. Near the mouth, the Tuostach is 130 m wide and 2.0 m deep; the flow velocity is 1.2 m / s 2 .

The catchment area of ​​the Tuostach covers 20,000 km² and lies entirely on the territory of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) .

The river freezes from October to May / early June.
