The Turnagain River is a left tributary of the Kechika River in the Canadian province of British Columbia .

The Turnagain River has its origin in Turnagain Lake on the continental divide at an altitude of 1193  m . It flows through the Cassiar Mountains in a north-northeast direction. He takes in Kutcho Creek from the right. Later he turns east. The two right tributaries Cassiar River and Dall River flow to it from the south. Now he turns north again. The Major Hart River meets the river from the left. For the last 20 km it turns northeast, breaks through the Kechika Ranges and reaches the Rocky Mountain Trench . Eventually it flows into the Kechika River. The Turnagain River has a length of about 200 km. At the gauge above Sandpile Creek, the mean discharge is 87 m³ / s. The catchment area covers more than 6580 km².

Canoe tours are offered from Dall Lake via the Dall River tributary and the lower Turnagain River to the Kechika River .
