Tuvuca [ tuˈβuða ], also Tuvutha , is an island of volcanic origin in the north of the Lau Archipelago in the Pacific Ocean . Politically, it belongs to the Eastern Division of the island state of Fiji .

Tuvuca is located about 50 km north of Lakeba , the main island of the archipelago, 35 km southwest of Mago , 35 km northeast of Nayau and 45 km east of Cicia . Neighboring islands are the much smaller islands of Vekai , 9 km north, and Yaroua , 15 km southeast. Tuvuca has a length of 5.7 km, a width of up to 3.4 km and an area of about 12 km². The island is completely surrounded by a coral reef with a narrow lagoon and in its table mountain - like interior it reaches a height of 244 m above sea level. The island is inhabited, the only settlement Tuvuca ( Tuvutha ) is on the southwest coast.
