The Tuxedni River is a 40 km long tributary of the Cook Inlet in southwest Alaska .

The Tuxedni River has its origin below the glacier tongue of an unnamed glacier in the Chigmit Mountains at an altitude of about 400  m . The river is fed by a larger glaciated area that extends 30 km southeast of Lake Clark . The Tuxedni River flows in a predominantly east-northeast direction along the northern flank of the Mount Iliamna volcano . The Tuxedni Glacier tongue extends up to 3.8 km from the south bank of the river. Below the glacier tongue, an alluvial fan has developed along which the Tuxedni River flows. The estuary of the Tuxedni River begins east of the alluvial fan. The Tuxedni River finally flows into Tuxedni Bay in the west of Cook Inlet.

The river was named after its estuary by the US Geological Survey (USGS) in 1958 .
