The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Bernay (until 2017: Arrondissement Évreux ) and the canton Le Neubourg . The inhabitants are called Cessevillais .

Cesseville is located in northern France about 21 kilometers northwest of Évreux . Cesseville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Crestot in the north and northwest, Criquebeuf-la-Campagne in the east and northeast, Ecquetot in the east and southeast, Saint-Aubin-d'Écrosville and Marbeuf in the south and Iville in the west.
