Pont-Audemer is a French municipality with 10,230 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Eure in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the Arrondissement Bernay and is the capital of the canton of Pont-Audemer .
It was created as the Commune nouvelle of the same name with effect from January 1, 2018 through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of Pont-Audemer and Saint-Germain-Village , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Pont-Audemer .

geography
Pont-Audemer is located in northern France on the Risle , between Roumois and Lieuvin . The municipality is part of the Boucles de la Seine Normande Regional Nature Park .

Pont-Audemer is the seat of the canton of Pont-Audemer and the community association Communauté de communes de Pont-Audemer Val de Risle .
Economy and Infrastructure
The Pontaurail tourist train connects Pont-Audemer with Honfleur . It drives three times a day on Sundays and public holidays from mid-June to the end of August through the Risle valley and to the mouth of the Seine .
Pont-Audemer is classified as Ville Internet ('Internet City ') with five @s . The “@s” are awarded to cities that promote the expansion and use of the Internet, with a maximum of five @s being awarded.
