Épaignes is a French commune with 1,617 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Eure in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Bernay and is part of the canton of Beuzeville (until 2015: canton of Cormeilles ). The inhabitants are called Épagnols .

Épaignes is located about 34 kilometers southeast of Le Havre in Lieuvin . Épaignes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vannecrocq and Saint-Symphorien in the north, Selles in the north-east, Saint-Siméon in the east, La Poterie-Mathieu in the south-east, Lieurey in the south and south-east, Saint-Sylvestre-de-Cormeilles in the south and south-west and la Chapelle-Bayvel to the west.
