Mesnil-en-Ouche is a French commune with 4,684 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Eure in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the Arrondissement Bernay and the canton Bernay and is a member of the Association of Municipalities Interco Normandie Sud Eure .

Mesnil-en-Ouche is about twelve kilometers south-east of Bernay in the Pays d'Ouche . Mesnil-en-Ouche is surrounded by the neighboring communities
- Saint-Aubin-le-Vertueux , Saint-Clair-d'Arcey and Corneville-la-Fouquetière in the north,
- Beaumont-le-Roger to the east and northeast,

history
On January 1, 2016, the previously independent municipalities of Ajou , La Barre-en-Ouche , Beaumesnil , Bosc-Renoult-en-Ouche , Épinay , Gisay-la-Coudre , Gouttières , Granchain , Jonquerets-de-Livet , Landepéreuse , La Roussière , Saint-Aubin-des-Hayes , Saint-Aubin-le-Guichard , Sainte-Marguerite-en-Ouche , Saint-Pierre-du-Mesnil and Thevray merged to form the new commune ( commune nouvelle ) Mesnil-en-Ouche. The seat of this newly created regional authority is in the district of Beaumesnil.
