Location of the association of municipalities in the Normandy region

The Intercom Bernay Terres de Normandie is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Eure in the region of Normandy . It was founded on September 28, 2016 and comprises 75 parishes (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative headquarters are in the city of Bernay .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes du Canton de Broglie ,
• Communauté de communes de Bernay et des Environs ,
• Intercom du Pays Brionnais ,
• Communauté de communes du Canton de Beaumesnil and
• Intercom Risle and Charentonne .

On January 1, 2018, the Commune nouvelle Goupil-Othon was created from the former municipalities of Goupillières and Le Tilleul -Othon . At the same time, the commune of Sainte-Opportune-du-Bosc left the local association and joined the Communauté de communes du Pays du Neubourg . This reduced the number of member communities to 78.

On January 1, 2019, the Commune nouvelle Treis-Sants-en-Ouche was created from the former municipalities of Saint-Aubin-le-Vertueux , Saint-Clair-d'Arcey and Saint-Quentin-des-Isles . At the same time, the municipality of Malouy left the local association and joined the Communauté de communes Lieuvin Pays d'Auge . This reduced the number of member communities to 75.
