The Seine Normandy Agglomération is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Eure in the region of Normandy . It was founded on December 19, 2016 and comprises 62 parishes (as of January 1, 2019). The administrative headquarters are in the city of Vernon .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

  • Communauté d'agglomération des Portes de l'Eure ,
  • Communauté de communes des Andelys et de ses Environs and
  • Communauté de communes Epte-Vexin-Seine .

With effect from January 1, 2018, the municipality of Saint-Aubin-sur-Gaillon transferred from the Communauté de communes Eure-Madrie-Seine to the local association. At the same time, the municipalities of Jouy-sur-Eure and Fontaine-sous-Jouy moved to the Communauté d'agglomération Évreux Portes de Normandie and the municipality of Château-sur-Epte to the Communauté de communes du Vexin Normand .

On January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Boisemont , Corny and Fresne-l'Archevêque formed the Commune nouvelle Frenelles-en-Vexin . This reduced the number of member churches to 62.
