Vexin-sur-Epte is a French commune with 6,065 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Eure in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Les Andelys and the canton of the same name .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle through the amalgamation of 14 municipalities of the communauté de communes Epte-Vexin-Seine . The previously independent municipalities of Berthenonville , Bus-Saint-Rémy , Cahaignes , Cantiers , Civières , Dampsmesnil , Écos , Fontenay-en-Vexin , Forêt-la-Folie , Fourges , Fours-en-Vexin , Guitry , Panilleuse and Tourny owned the in the new municipality the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are located in Écos.

geography
The municipality is located around 50 kilometers southeast of the city center of Rouen in the Vexin Normand countryside . The Epte River runs along the eastern border of the municipality . Neighboring communities are:
- Villiers-en Vexin and Les Thilliers-en-Vexin in the north,
- Autheverne , Château-sur-Epte and Montreuil-sur-Epte in the northeast,
- Bray-et-Lû in the east,
- Amenucourt in the southeast,
- Gasny in the south,
- Heubécourt-Haricourt and Tilly in the southwest,
- Mézières-en-Vexin to the west as well
- Guiseniers , Harqueny and Mouflaines to the northwest.
