Ailly is a French commune with 1,159 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Eure in the region of Normandy ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Les Andelys and the canton of Gaillon (until 2015: canton of Gaillon-Campagne ).

Ailly lies between the western bank of the Seine and the eastern bank of the Eure . Ailly is surrounded by the neighboring communities
- Le Val d'Hazey with Fontaine-Bellenger in the north and Vieux-Villez in the east and northeast,
- Sainte-Barbe-sur-Gaillon in the east,
- Saint-Julien-de-la-Liègue in the southeast,
