Fontaine-sous-Jouy is a French municipality with 873 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Eure in the region Normandy (before 2016 Haute-Normandie ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Les Andelys (until 2017 Évreux ) and the canton Pacy-sur-Eure (until 2015 Évreux-Est ). The inhabitants are called Jovifontains .
geography
Fontaine-sous-Jouy is about ten kilometers northeast of Évreux . Fontaine-sous-Jouy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Vigor in the north and north-west, Autheuil-Authouillet in the north and north-east, Chambray in the east, Jouy-sur-Eure in the south, Gauciel and Sassey in the south-west and Reuilly in the west.
