Caorches-Saint-Nicolas is located in the Pays d'Ouche , about three kilometers west of the city center of Bernay . Caorches-Saint-Nicolas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bernay in the north and east, Grand-Camp in the south and south-west, Saint-Victor-de-Chrétienville in the south-west, Plainville in the west and Saint-Martin-du-Tilleul in the north-west.

Caorches-Saint-Nicolas was created in 1972 from the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Caorches and Saint-Nicolas-du-Bosc-l'Abbé .
