The Tuya River is an orographic right tributary of the Stikine River in the northwest of the Canadian province of British Columbia .

The Tuya rises in the Tuya Range , a mountain range in the west of the Cassiar Mountains . It initially flows through the two lakes High Tuya Lake and Tuya Lake . The river continues its course south through the Stikine Plateau . In the lower reaches it takes its most important tributary, the Little Tuya River , from the right. Finally, 25 km northeast of Telegraph Creek , the Tuya River flows into the west-flowing Stikine River. The Tuya River has a length of about 170 km. It drains an area of ​​approx. 3550 km². The mean discharge is 37 m³ / s.
