Tuzar Skipper (* 5. June 1995 in Norwich , Connecticut ) is an American American football poker players. He plays the position of linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League (NFL).
Career
Skipper attended Monroe College for the first two years after high school . As a defensive end , he scored 46 tackles , 20.5 for loss of space and 6.5 sacks in 13 games. He also forced a fumble , blocked a kick and scored a safety . In both years he was elected to the second-team All-Northeast Football Conference . He then moved to the University of Toledo , where he played for the Toledo Rockets . In his first season for the Rockets, he achieved 22 tackles. In 2017, however, he tore his cruciate ligament, which is why he only ran up in two games. In his final season, he had 60 tackles, 11.5 for loss of space, 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble conquests, and a touchdown . He was elected to the third team All-MAC .
After Skipper was not selected in the NFL Draft 2019 , he received a contract after a successful rookie mini camp and trial training with the Pittsburgh Steelers . Here he was retrained to become an outside linebacker. After initially making the jump to the 53-man squad, he was dismissed on September 7, 2019 before the first game of the season. He was then committed by the New York Giants . He was released on October 22, 2019. Two days later, the Giants hired skippers for their practice squad . On November 19, 2019, the Steelers signed skippers for their 53-man squad. Skipper was always listed as inactive until the end of the season. On December 30, 2019, he received a two-year contract.
