Tyla Yaweh (born May 31, 1995 in Altamonte Springs , Florida , USA ) is an American singer and rapper. He is known thanks to songs like She Bad , High Right Now or Who Shot Johnny? . Yaweh is currently under contract with Epic Records and London Entertainment.

Yaweh was born on 31 May 1995 in Altamonte Springs in the US state of Florida as Tyler Jamal Brown. According to Yaweh, he earned his living selling drugs when he was young. When Yaweh's mother found out that the drugs were being sold, she threw him on the street. The then young Yaweh then went to Los Angeles with a friend of his . In the beginning he had a difficult time there without a permanent residence. But he never gave up his dream of becoming a rapper. Post Malone , who is also a rapper from the USA , became aware of Yaweh and supported Yaweh. Thanks to Malone, Yaweh was able to go on his Revenge Tour together with XXXTentacion in 2017.

Career

Yaweh made the first big step in 2017 when he was allowed to appear as a guest on the Revenge Tour of XXXTentacion . Since then, his songs have also enjoyed increasing success. With songs like This Is How I Wanna Live My Life , Drugs & Pain or HotBoyZ (feat. Ski Mask the Slump God ) he achieved several million clicks on various streaming platforms.

In 2019 his probably greatest success in his career followed, he toured as a guest together with Post Malone through Europe , South America and Australia . His song High Right Now was honored with a gold record in the USA in July 2020 .
