The Tylihul Liman (Ukrainian Тилігульський лиман ) is a liman in the south of Ukraine between the Odessa Oblast and the Mykolaiv Oblast and forms the mouth of the 168 km long Tylihul River into the Black Sea , which runs near Donska Balka ( Донська Балка ) transforms. A large part of the Liman is under nature protection.
An approximately 7 km long and 4 km wide sandbar has separated them since the 17th and 18th centuries. Century the Liman from the north coast of the Black Sea. A canal through this connects the Liman with the Black Sea.
The Liman has a length of 60 km, covers an area of 135 km² and has a water volume of 0.61 km³. Its width is up to 4.5 km. It has an average depth of 5 m and a maximum depth of 21 m.
Tributaries
In addition to the Tylihul, the 46 km long Zareha (Ukrainian Царега ), which rises north of the village of Novoswitliwka ( Новосвітлівка ), flows into the Liman.
Riverside communities
On the banks of the Limans are the villages of Koblewe ( Коблеве ), Petrivka ( Петрівка ), Marjaniwka , ( Мар'янівка ) and Kaiiry ( Каїри ).

There are two regional landscape parks on the east and west banks of the Limans. Tylihul Regional Landscape Park (Odessa Oblast) and Tylihul Regional Landscape Park (Mykolaiv Oblast). The Tylihul Liman has been an internationally significant and worthy of protection wetland area since November 23, 1995 according to the Ramsar Convention for the Protection of Wetlands.
