Juschne (Ukrainian Южне ; Russian Южное / Juschnoje , also Южний / Juschni ) is a Ukrainian port city with an internationally important oil loading terminal on the Black Sea . The seaport is one of the three most important ports in Ukraine. The city had 31,796 inhabitants in 2014 and, as an independent city, belongs to the Odessa Oblast , is completely surrounded by the Lyman district and the Black Sea.

The very young city emerged as one of several industrial settlements based on a decision of the Soviet government on July 19, 1973. On May 11, 1978 it was granted the status of an urban-type settlement, and since 1993 it has been an oblast-administered city.
