Dobroslaw ( Ukrainian and Russian Доброслав ) is an urban-type settlement in Odessa Oblast in southern Ukraine . The place with about 6,900 inhabitants (2016) is 50 km northeast of the Odessa Oblast center and is the administrative center of Lyman Rajon .
The settlement, founded in 1802, was a village from 1886 and was named Antono-Kodynzewe (Ukrainian Антоно-Кодинцеве ) until 1935 , after which the place was renamed Kominterniwske ( комінтернівсь ) based on the abbreviation Comintern for Communist International . On July 14, 2016, the village was given its current name Dobroslaw as part of the decommunization in Ukraine . Dobroslaw has had urban-type settlement status since 1965.
In addition to Dobroslaw, the settlement council also includes the villages:
- Schewtschenkowe-Kut (Ukrainian Шевченкове-Кут ⊙ ) with about 110 inhabitants.
- Sorynowe (Ukrainian Зоринове ⊙ ) with about 100 inhabitants
- Ulyanivka (Ukrainian Улянівка ⊙ ) with about 87 inhabitants as well
- Wowkiwske (Ukrainian Вовківське ⊙ ) with about 620 inhabitants
