Tajirowe (Ukrainian Таїрове ; Russian Таирово / Tairowo ) is an urban-type settlement in southern Ukraine , about 17 kilometers southwest of the city center of the Oblast capital Odessa and 25 kilometers northeast of the Rajon capital Owidiopol on the Sukhyj Liman .
The villages of Balka (Балка) and Misikewytscha (Мізікевича) also belong to the settlement council that forms the place .
The settlement was officially created in 1982 as an urban-type settlement, it arose from the institute buildings of the Viticulture Academy of Vasily Tairow , who founded the latter here in 1905 and continued to expand in the following years.
On December 6, 2014, the statue of Lenin was removed from the town.
