1998 European Women's Under-18 Football Championship
The 1st U-18 European Women's Football Championship was won by Denmark's selection. It was the only win for Denmark so far. The tournament was the only one so far that did not have a final round. Players born on January 1, 1980 or later were eligible to play. In contrast to Austria and Switzerland, Germany was able to qualify for the knockout round.

All teams entered were divided into eight groups. The group winners determine the winner in the knockout system . From the quarterfinals onwards, all rounds were played back and forth.
